My name is Tom Podhrazsky, and I have dedicated myself to the study of architecture, beauty, and the built environment. Starting in my early years, my life was steeped in a traditional arts education. In my college years my life was consumed with traditional craftsmanship. And now I find my life in the midst of traditional design.
I’ve been travelling and drawing buildings on and off for the past ten years. However, only recently have I concluded that this exercise is not only a legitimate learning tool–but one that is necessary for my continued growth as a designer. And so, I have dedicated myself to the ancient tradition of traveling and documenting the architectural gems of the world. I will be posting drawings and pictures from adventures both past and present. I hope that you will join me on my journey, and that we may both pick up a few things on the way.
At the end of this year I will begin my first independent building project with a small team of dedicated craftsmen, I hope to share that with you as well.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for future travels or projects, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
