A Little Bit of Turkey

This past September, I made an amazing journey to Istanbul. Who would have thought that the place would still be mobbed with tourists that late? The line to get into the Blue Mosque was so long that I paid a “guide” to get me in faster.

I guess I knew what was going to happen. But I suppose having some random local confidently lead a dumb tourist to the front of a line–filled with other dumb tourists–ends up looking official if you are a tourist and don’t know any better. Being able to sit down and draw this building for a few hours was worth the $20.
